And even though it&#8217;s really just accidental, the choice my twisted mind made for the past month&#8217;s games pleases my hardcore PCist gamer&#8217;s nature: all things considered PC as a gaming platform <strong>always performs WAY BETTER<\/strong> than the industry windbags and the specialized &#8220;journalists&#8221; state, the DRM issue can be resolved <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shacknews.com\/article\/68656\/capcom-recants-ssf4-pc-drm-1\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"SSF4 Arcade DRM 'we had it wrong,' says Capcom - Shacknews.com\">with a bit of good will<\/a> and the classics <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gog.com\/en\/forum\/general\/gog_com_s_catalog_gets_huge_with_addition_of_classic_ea_titles\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"The biggest announcement in GOG.com's history is a fact! Electronic Arts grants access to its deep back catalogue of classic franchises via yours truly GOG.com! - GOG.com\">never go out of fashion<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/games.slashdot.org\/story\/11\/05\/31\/1833239\/Doom-Ported-To-the-Web\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Doom Ported To the Web - Slashdot\">On the contrary<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p> <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><strong style=\"FONT-SIZE: 18px; COLOR: #0000ff\">Dead Island<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">After the prologue in pre-rendered graphics reported a few days ago, developer <em>Techland<\/em> finally gives the opportunity to <strong>enjoy the gameplay<\/strong> from <a href=\"http:\/\/kingofgng.com\/eng\/2011\/05\/29\/videogames-highlights-october-2010-april-2011-part-1\/\" title=\"Videogames highlights - October 2010-April 2011 part 1 | Sir Arthur's Den\">Dead Island<\/a> at a practically completed development stage. The first person action adventure set in a tropical paradise <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rockpapershotgun.com\/2011\/05\/17\/the-moving-dead-dead-island-trailer\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"The Moving Dead: Dead Island Trailer - Rock, Paper, Shotgun\">turned into a dreadful nightmare<\/a> &#8211; where the undead walk the earth and feed the living people still present on the isle &#8211; shows itself in an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rockpapershotgun.com\/2011\/05\/23\/11-minutes-of-dead-island-footage\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"11 Minutes Of Dead Island Footage - Rock, Paper, Shotgun\">11 minutes<\/a> (actually they are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=pVzRo39P31I\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Dead Island: 20 Minutes of Gameplay Footage [HD] - YouTube\">almost 20<\/a>) video clip which abounds with eviscerated corpses, crushed brains and gore effects on the edge of harassment (for me at least). To be released on the 1st of August for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.<\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: center\"><object xmlns=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"312\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/v\/fL3dGomim8s?version=3&amp;hl=it_IT&amp;hd=1\"\/><param name=\"wmode\"\/><\/object><\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: center\"><object xmlns=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"312\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/v\/pVzRo39P31I?version=3&amp;hl=it_IT&amp;hd=1\"\/><param name=\"wmode\"\/><\/object><\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><strong style=\"FONT-SIZE: 18px; COLOR: #0000ff\">Diablo III<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">After closing the playable characters file with the <em>Demon Hunter<\/em> introduction, Blizzard must fill the long wait till the release of <a href=\"http:\/\/kingofgng.com\/eng\/2011\/05\/29\/videogames-highlights-october-2010-april-2011-part-1\/\" title=\"Videogames highlights - October 2010-April 2011 part 1 | Sir Arthur's Den\">Diablo III<\/a> with side dishes: the renowned Californian company has recently showed the <em>IA<\/em> component of the game called <a href=\"http:\/\/eu.blizzard.com\/diablo3\/world\/systems\/followers.xml\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Followers - Diablo III\">Followers<\/a>, made up by non playable characters designed to <strong>follow the player<\/strong> during his single-player journeys through the twisted and infested world of Sanctuary. The Followers &#8211; split in Templar, Enchantress and Scoundrel &#8211; are the offspring of Diablo II &#8220;Hirelings&#8221;, but Blizzard <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shacknews.com\/article\/68436\/diablo-3-follower-system-revealed\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Diablo 3 'Follower' AI companions revealed - Shacknews.com\">promises<\/a> a bit more personality and a higher customization level. The new video-demo from <a href=\"http:\/\/kingofgng.com\/eng\/2010\/08\/16\/videogames-highlights-july-2010-underdogs-edition\/\" title=\"Videogames highlights - July 2010, Underdogs Edition | Sir Arthur's Den\">Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning<\/a> released by <em>Electronic Arts<\/em> does a good job, within its five minutes of length, in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shacknews.com\/article\/68435\/kingdoms-amalur-reckoning-gets-first\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning gets first gameplay trailer - Shacknews.com\">depicting<\/a> (also thanks to the explanations of <em>lead designer<\/em> Ian Frazier) how the fighting system works, how skills affect the protagonist and how much devastating rightly timed combos can be. The game will be (hopefully) released during the first quarter of 2012 on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.<\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: center\"><object xmlns=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"312\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/v\/NQ4bH9cowTQ?version=3&amp;hl=it_IT&amp;hd=1\"\/><param name=\"wmode\"\/><\/object><\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><strong style=\"FONT-SIZE: 18px; COLOR: #0000ff\">Mortal Kombat<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">For Xbox 360 and PS3 owners still undecided on the purchase of the new game from the <a href=\"http:\/\/kingofgng.com\/eng\/2011\/06\/02\/videogames-highlights-october-2010-april-2011-part-2\/\" title=\"Videogames highlights - October 2010-April 2011 part 2 | Sir Arthur's Den\">Mortal Kombat<\/a> series, the new video stuff of the month includes an odd <a href=\"http:\/\/www.devicemag.com\/2011\/05\/24\/behind-the-scenes-of-mortal-kombats-fatalities\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Behind The Scenes Of Mortal Kombat\u2019s Fatalities - Device Magazine\">fatality-themed behind the scenes<\/a> (the design, the designers and their embarrassing motion capture sessions) and the trailer of another, <strong>properly bloody additional character<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shacknews.com\/article\/68617\/mortal-kombat-trailer-introduces-skarlet\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Mortal Kombat trailer introduces Skarlet - Shacknews.com\">Skarlet<\/a> &#8211; to get as a commercial DLC who knows where, who knows when.
