Naruto: Shippūden episode 165 - Nine-Tails, Captured!
The clash between the enigmatic Pain and a Naruto completely changed by his last training on Mount Myoboku goes on tirelessly. The Konoha ninja is able to knock down almost all the bodies controlled by Pain by exploiting all of his most powerful and effective techniques (and tactics), killing another one thanks to the enormous potential of the nature energy he is now able to canalize and finally being neutralized by the last remaining Pain. This episode too doesn’t lack shocks, incredible deaths and big talks about peace and war.
Naruto: Shippūden episode 163 - Explode! Sage Mode
This week’s Naruto Shippuuden episode is really spectacular!
The mephitic Pain attacked the Leaf Village with all of his frightening strength, killing many key characters of the anime and eventually tearing down Konoha with some sort of cold atomic explosion. This is when Naruto goes on stage, having just completed his training on Mount Myoboku and learning the secrets of the Sage Mode - the same one used by his defunct master Jiraiya. And the training results are immediately noticeable when Naruto attacks Pain with all of his usual, exploding rush…
Naruto: Shippūden episode 141 - Truth
Hi there everybody, long time no see huh?
I’m not dead, the blog is not dead nor is the will to post, let’s just say that I’ve taken a little, forced break because of the lack of serenity in my life and the resulting difficulty to focus on amusing and yet demanding activities like writing some text on these pages. On the other hand Christmas is here, the most shitty period of the year full of hypocrisy and chocolate crap to sweeten the most sensitive palates. So better enjoying the last episode of Naruto Shippuuden’s sixth season, where the secrets unfold and Madara reveals the truth about Itachi’s past and the real motivations that drove him on his cursed pathway. Provided this version is the “real” truth, anyway… AnimeCrazy.net (alternative hosting); Episodes list on Wikipedia; Naruto on Sir Arthur’s Den.
Naruto: Shippūden episode 137 - Amaterasu!
Just a few words to introduce the episode because I still have to eat the cake, play to Braid and try the just downloaded Serious Sam HD: Sasuke and Itachi go into the heart of battle, unleash their secret weapons and more generally they beat the hell out of each other. Good show, anyway, even though the drawings quality doesn’t impress me that much. And now excuse me while I have better things to do

Naruto: Shippūden episodes 135 & 136 - The Longest Moment & The Light & Dark of the Mangekyo Sharingan
For who hadn’t seen this week’s Naruto Shippuuden episodes yet, here is the usual reminder with streaming clips: the two Uchiha brothers meet and clash once again, while Itachi gives Sasuke a history lesson revealing the bloody secret of their clan. Having no knowledge of the manga apart from some rare glimpse, I dare to hope the series’ plot level will mantain the same rhythm afterward too. And now excuse me while I return to play the freshly installed Street Fighter IV

Naruto: Shippūden episodes 133 & 134 - The Tale of Jiraiya the Gallant & Banquet Invitation
And finally, after a week of passion due to the premature passing of a computer that was already ancient when I bought it years ago (more info to come…), I return to these places and back to watch Naruto Shippuuden
Considering my unlucky adventure I embed two episodes of the anime, the first that honestly you cannot miss for several reasons (read Emanuele’s blog on the matter) and the second useful just to warm the waiting for the “Uchiha vs. Uchiha” clash scheduled next week… For more information: AnimeCrazy.net (alternative hosting); Episodes list on Wikipedia; Naruto on Sir Arthur’s Den.
Naruto: Shippūden episode 132 - In Attendance, the Six Paths of Pain
Definitely interesting this new installment of Naruto Shippuuden
The clash between the two “monsters” Pain and master Jiraiya gets serious and both the contenders prove to have abilities that are special to say the least. Before putting him off (spoiler to follow!), the series creator Masashi Kishimoto gave Jiraiya the chance to show off how far his relationship with the toad nature went and it’s a very nice/ugly thing to see all things considered… For more information: AnimeCrazy.net (alternative hosting); Episodes list on Wikipedia; Naruto on Sir Arthur’s Den.
Naruto: Shippūden episode 131 - Honored Sage Mode!
Oh, finally after so much useless (and as far as I am concerned slightly exciting) chatting this week Jiraiya and his antagonist start to fight mercilessly and beat each other to death
The feature of Naruto that always entertained me the most is the series tendency to large scale clashes (or “legendary”, or whatever), and one of these clashes is exactly the one starting now between the toad-master and his former Rinnegan equipped apprentice. Thumb up and let’s see how this goes on… For more information: AnimeCrazy.net (alternative hosting); Episodes list on Wikipedia; Naruto on Sir Arthur’s Den.
Naruto: Shippūden episodes 129 & 130 - Infiltrate! The Village Hidden in the Rain & The Man Who Became God
I’m starting to feel tired of these Naruto specials broadcasted every two weeks, to me it seems that the authors tend to shorten events that would deserve a different emphasis to little exciting summaries. Anyway this week’s double episode is the forerunner of a battle that should stir up my interest for the series a bit, no less than the clash between Jiraiya and a man who thinks to be a god because of his inborn ability, the Rinnegan. Naruto: Shippūden episodes 127 & 128 - Tales of a Gutsy Ninja ~ Jiraiya Ninja Scroll
The last week pause is justified by the double portion of Naruto Shippuuden dispensed in the current one, focused on master Jiraiya’s young adventures. So it’s a new monothematic special on a single character from the anime, which obviously includes toads, snakes, slugs and battles too in full respect of the folklore story from which the Naruto author took inspiration for the character. Naruto: Shippūden episode 126 - Twilight
After Madara Uchiha entrance during the previous episode, Naruto Shippuden’s plot should have entered a new “mythologic fights” phase comprising any sort of innate powers and crazy ninja techniques. For the moment the opponents study each other, Itachi Uchiha prepares his mind for the fight with his younger brother and the two legendary ninjas of the Leaf, Tsunade and Jiraya, linger in what probably is their last farewell. Naruto: Shippūden episode 125 - Disappearance
Obviously Sasuke saved himself from the mega-explosion set off by bomber Deidara, while suffering wounds that force him to stop and rest. As much trivial is the alerting of all the groups tracking the renegade ninja of the Leaf, including Konoha’s team and the Akatsuki. A less obvious thing, and the first of the revelations I talked about during the previous episode, is that Tobi (Deidara’s companion) is actually Madara Uchiha, the patriarch of Sasuke’s clan and the Akatsuki secret head. Naruto: Shippūden episode 124 - Art
Hum, I thought the fight between Sasuke and the crazy bomber Deidara would have ended up less quickly, conversely after just two episodes one has the occasion to see the Akatsuki member tearing down some kilometers in the attempt to kill the Uchiha
It’s not so bad, anyway, actually the true meat (that is the clash between Sasuke and his elder brother Itachi, and the important revelations that will follow) is still to come… For more information: AnimeCrazy.net (alternative hosting); Episodes list on Wikipedia; Naruto on Sir Arthur’s Den.
Naruto: Shippūden episode 123 - Clash!
Sasuke’s personal war against his elder brother Itachi is finally getting serious, and in the first clash with the Akatsuki (to which Itachi belongs) the renegade ninja of the Leaf must face Deidara, namely the crazy bomber maniac about art that is clearly predestined to a premature and not-so-pleasant end. The fight started in this episode will end during the next weeks, and considering that at this point of the story I only glanced at some spoiler about the manga I’m quite curious to see how this will evolve… For more information: AnimeCrazy.net (alternative hosting); Episodes list on Wikipedia; Naruto on Sir Arthur’s Den.
Naruto: Shippūden episode 122 - The Hunt
The wait of Naruto Shippuuden’s previous episode is over, and all the three different formations involved in the upcoming ruthless war (Sasuke’s team, the Leaf, the Akatsuki) move each one toward its aim. Sasuke starts seeking for Itachi, Naruto and the others hunt both Uchiha and two ninjas from the Akatsuki target Sasuke. On Naruto’s path suddenly appears an old acquaintance of the Leaf, while bomber Deidara detects Sasuke and challenge him in a fight. Naruto: Shippūden episode 121 - Assemble
Gone the special about Kakashi’s turbulent youth of the past week, Naruto Shippuuden focuses once again on Sasuke Uchiha’s revenge desire, the actions by secret organization Akatsuki and Naruto’s childish desire to bring his companion back to home. It’s a waiting episode, where Sasuke’s team stocks up for the confrontation with Itachi Uchiha, Akatsuki updates its members on Orochimaru’s death and the Leaf assembles some ninjas for the next mission: to capture Itachi before he runs into his younger brother. Naruto: Shippūden episodes 119 & 120 - Kakashi Chronicles ~ Boys’ Life on the Battlefield
This week Naruto Shippuuden features a double-episode special on the adventures of a younger Kakashi, the copycat ninja who acted as a sensei for Naruto’s team and that as for me has always been one of the best supporting characters of the anime. I have to say that I enjoyed the special as much as it didn’t happen for a long time, also because besides discovering Kakashi’s sharingan-eye origin we can finally see the Fourth Hokage in action, that is Naruto’s father and one of the most mysterious characters of the entire story. Naruto: Shippūden episode 118 - Formation!
After a little argument due to diverging opinions about the same question (Jugo wanted to terminate Sasuke but this one didn’t agree) and the subsequent intervention by the water-ninja Suigetsu, the Uchiha imposes his superiority by putting an end to the fight. Apparently Sasuke succeeds in persuading all the three ninjas he was searching for, declaring that henceforth the team will be called Hebi (”Snake”) and will hunt Itachi Uchiha. Konoha will do the same thing, hence the anime atmosphere should soon heat up… For more information: AnimeCrazy.net (alternative hosting); Episodes list on Wikipedia; Naruto on Sir Arthur’s Den
Naruto: Shippūden episode 117 - Jugo of the North Hideout
At last Naruto Shippuuden returns to be interesting: Sasuke’s team is tracking the third and last member of the squad put together by the Uchiha, a guy that even gave the defunct Orochimaru knowledge to develop one of the main elements of the entire anime. Not that he wanted to do so anyway, in his rotten brain there is only one idea: to kill. Meanwhile the news about the ninja-snake’s death arrives at the Leaf Village and Naruto too, so closing for good the fillers circle and bringing back the story on its proper tracks… For more information: AnimeCrazy.net (alternative hosting); Wikipedia; Naruto on Sir Arthur’s Den.
